Where existing apps lean on crowd-sourced ratings and basic label lookups, Invoak builds a deep, evolving model of your taste and explains every recommendation in plain English.

How it works

It starts with your Palate Profile. A short onboarding flow — natural-language questions plus a guided self-assessment of a handful of reference wines — captures the dimensions that actually define taste: tannin preference, acidity tolerance, sweetness, oak influence, body weight, and regional style affinities. From there, every wine you rate and every note you log refines the model. The longer you use Invoak, the better it knows you.

Camera-first discovery

Point your camera at a wine label, a restaurant menu page, or an entire shelf, and get instant recommendations ranked against your personal profile. Each pick comes with a match score, a plain-English explanation of why it suits you, key tasting notes, and price context — so you can decide with confidence in seconds, not minutes of scrolling reviews.

An AI sommelier you can actually talk to

Ask context-specific questions the way you’d ask a friend who happens to be a wine expert: “What should I order with steak tonight?” or “Gift for someone who loves Pinot Noir, budget $40.” The sommelier draws on your personal profile and real-time wine data to answer with specific bottles, not generic advice.

Invoak’s signature feature takes the guesswork out of giving wine. Pick a friend, set a budget and occasion, and the AI generates gift recommendations based on their verified palate model — automatically excluding anything they’ve already tried and checking real-time retail availability. Every suggestion comes with an explanation (“Sarah loves high-acid whites — this Chablis fits her profile and she hasn’t tried it yet”), and you can complete the purchase and delivery without leaving the app.

Your cellar, organized

Track the bottles you own with label scans or manual entry — vintage, quantity, purchase date, price, and notes. Non-vintage wines are fully supported.
